The Ironwood Men’s League follows the rules of golf unless specified before the round. i.e. lift clean and place, rake and place in bunkers, etc.
Out of Bounds – Re Hit from your previous shot, there is no option to play as a lateral hazard, if you take a drop you are out of the hole.
Scoring – You are playing a two person best ball match, you and your partner vs. your opponents handicapped best ball. If you are out of the hole you can pick up and take an X. This will be converted to a double bogey for handicapping purposes. Please mark an X for anyone picking up on a hole. Failure to do so could result in loss of a hole after handicap is applied. If everyone is screwing up a hole play it out and put actual scores on the scorecard. We encourage you to score the match, but it is not necessary as the program will do it when scores are entered. Contact Scott or Jason for scoring questions.
Scorecard – The official men’s league scorecard is used for scoring. If you are not comfortable scoring the match give to someone in the group who is. This is the official card, please review the card before turning in. Once turned in the card is official and may not be changed.
Pace of Play – Men’s League matches should be finished in 2:00 – 2:15 hours. If your group falls behind you may have to skip a hole and tie that hole.
Best Ball Game – In addition to the match, there is a two man best ball game. Players get their full handicap for this game. Weekly results can be found on the men’s league website available here: Men’s League Website Login
Payouts – Skins are paid out in cash, best ball and closest to the pin are paid in pro shop credit.
Subs – If you need a sub, please click Here to request a sub. There is no penalty for using a sub unless no one from your team shows up. In that case your team will receive zero points for the week.
